Dancing in the Rain-film trailer

Hello! Dance for Parkinson’s classes continue to grow across Australia and we would love your help to share the story with a wider audience.

We ask for your support to help finish the documentary film ‘Dancing in the Rain’ about the experiences of participants in the Dance for Parkinson’s program in Sydney, Australia.  While we have have great support from the community which we greatly appreciate, we need further financial assistance to complete (post) production and get the film over the line. All donations are tax deductible
‘Dancing in the Rain’ is a short documentary that reveals the impact of attending regular dance classes for people living with Parkinson’s disease. The film is told from the perspective of four Sydney-based participants in the not-for-profit Dance for Parkinson’s classes, and includes interviews with the founder of the program in Australia, a leading Sydney neurologist, dance teachers, family and carers, and others involved with the group. The film examines the challenges of living with the disease, and the extent to which dancing improves participants’ quality of life and the special community and bonds made through this program. ‘Dancing in the Rain’ is the first film to document the benefits for this delightful and unexpected dance community in Australia.
