Queensland University of Technology researchers have found that for people living with Parkinson’s disease, dance improves walking, emotional wellbeing, and capacity to tackle cognitive challenges. Presented in Kogarah in Sydney, it is a community initiative bringing together Art for Parkinson’s, Dance for Parkinson’s and local musicians such as the Human Sound Project. This film captures the essence of the collaboration. Thank you to the fantastic teaching artists Natasha Cesco and Beatriz Occhiuzzi, Parkinson’s NSW, the Mazda Foundation and Georges River Council for your support and to all of the participants for sharing your creativity and community.
